All my life I've been miserable Happiness is a stranger to me We were never introduced Misery I know so well Came into my life like a storm Embracing me with cold dark arms of sorrow The smile on my face Is nothing more than a mask A disguise to hide the pain A domino to cover the face of my aching soul I stare into the mirror Look into the depths of my eyes My soul haunted by despair And yesterday's ghost that refuse to die Darkness looms over me Like an evil black cloud My life an atmosphere of gloom Its unseen hands touch my heart Leaving my flesh and blood cold Its eerie presence drenches my soul with sorrow I'm a prisoner to the dark
